Newsletter, December 16th 2017
Dear All

Now there is a new newsletter from Galleri Fredslund, long since last, but 2017 also became a slightly different year.
Part of the explanation is that in March, I chose to cut down on the painting and dedicate myself to a church ministry in a local church.
I realised that his work would affect what I could achieve, but after this and my previous newsletters this year, I fortunately had the opportunity to participate in various exhibitions around DK and abroad, while also painting some new paintings.

Since the last newsletter on June 1, I have had an exhibition in New York, Esbjerg, Silkeborg and Tunø.
The exhibition at the Artifact Gallery in New York was nicely and professionally set up by the gallery owner and the varnish was well visited. The gallery is located in a street environment of small fine galleries and cozy cafes and restaurants, and the audience was interested and questionable.
The paintings is arrived in DK again and it has given good reviews and a broader knowledge of my paintings, which is also reflected in what happens in these months - read later.
The exhibition in Esbjerg is an exhibition that I have attended since 2011. Unfortunately, I only had the opportunity to be there in the introductory weekend, but a good friend that I shared the container with suited it for the rest of the period.
My paintings thats been shown in Yerst Glas in Silkeborg have also returned home after a few months in the glass pusters fine workshop in Tværgade in the middle of Silkeborg.
Finally, my paintings on Tunø have also returned after a 4 month summer stay in Gallery Eggertart. Bent, the owner, has a fantastic gallery on the island that is open during the summer months and he arrange "Montmartre" for a weekend where artists gather and work with what they now think and otherwise have fun together.
In addition to my paintings, I have also had some of my Artmoney at an exhibition in the Faroe Islands where some were sold and next year they will be on the show Down Under in Sydney.

As a result of all of these exhibitions, I am delighted that demand has risen and several have approached and asked for paintings they have seen around my exhibitions or have been inspired by my paintings to see more on my website.
Sales have been quite overwhelming and the demand for my paintings for exhibition has grown - at the latest, the Egmont Group has asked me to exhibit in their 3 houses in Copenhagen in the fall of 2018.
In addition, I have an agreement with Skt. Peders Church in Randers about an exhibition in January / February 2018.
Together with colleagues in Atelier 12B, I also have to attend some exhibitions around, but there is more about here or at www.atelier12b.dk
This week I have been contacted by the English magazine Scan Magazine, they will make an interview for an article coming in their 2018 January issue. The magazinepromotes Scandinavian lifestyle, culture and design and is published in England, Germany, the Netherlands, the United States and the Scandinavian countries. In addition, they are inflight magazines at various airlines flying to and from Denmark. It's exciting with such a new opportunity to come out with my art.

I wish you all a really Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year and would like to say a thousand thanks for the year that has passed.
Love

Kirsten
